The proposal that was submitted to the NJDOE was denied for action. The Department of Education would like more information to support a move toward certification for teachers of the gifted. To that end, our coalition has been meeting with groups to gather information and to build support. We will continue to reach out to stakeholder groups including policy makers, school district leaders, teachers, parents, students and advocacy groups.
